Des de principis de curs comptem a l’escola amb dues auxiliars de conversa de llengua anglesa per als estudiants des de I3 fins a B2. Aquestes incorporacions són un valor afegit per a millorar el domini oral de l’Anglès. L’Emma i la Sarah venen de Kendal i de Brighton respectivament. S’han integrat perfectament en la rutina del centre i dels horaris dels alumnes.
Tot i que ja fa anys que l’escola té la sort de tenir una auxiliar de conversa, aquest any, per primera vegada, són dues les persones que tenim. GREAT! És un plaer poder oferir a tots els cursos des de I3 fins a B2 l’oportunitat de practicar la llengua amb persones natives. La seva feina passa a reforçar les hores de treball de la part oral de l’Anglès: Let’s Talk i Oratòria.
Des de l’escola representa una millora molt significativa i valorem el seu esforç per haver entrat en la dinàmica del centre. La seva joventut és un avantatge vers l’adaptació que han de fer per partida doble: a una nova ciutat, nous ambients, costums i cultura; i a una espai de treball i una feina també nous.
Hem gaudit i seguirem gaudint del suport per tal d’aconseguir que la seva feina sigui satisfactòria per ambdues parts. A continuació us deixem unes paraules que us han preparat cadascuna perquè també les pugueu conèixer:
Hi, I’m Emma. I’m one of the new Language Assistants here at FEDAC Amílcar, and I’m so happy to be here! I’m originally from the Lake District in the Northwest of England but I’ve lived in London for the last 4 years, where I worked in advertising.
So far, I’m absolutely loving my time here! Both the staff and students have been incredibly welcoming and friendly, and I get a real feel of community in the school. There are a lot of names to try to remember so I’m grateful I get to see everyone regularly so that I might learn everybody’s names and characteristics.
There are so many things I enjoy about this job. If I had to narrow it down, I’d say I enjoy the challenge of teaching my native language as a foreign language and being creative with class content. Of course, I’m most looking forward to seeing (mainly hearing) how the students develop in their ability, and confidence. in using English verbally.
I have been working at FEDAC Amílcar for several months now and I am really enjoying the experience. I am teaching a wide range of students from 3-year-olds to 11-year-olds. I have loved getting to know my students and seeing their confidence grow even after those months. I do a range of speaking activities with the students and encourage them to be creative and confident.
